Over time, neck skin loses its elasticity and the jawline loses definition. With a neck lift, excess skin in this area is removed, muscle tissue is repositioned, and a tighter, more elegant neck profile is created.
The surgery is usually performed through small incisions made behind the ears and under the chin. This way, scars are concealed within natural skin folds. When needed, excess fat tissue is removed with Vaser liposuction to define the jawline. This procedure can be combined with a facelift to provide an overall rejuvenating effect for both the face and neck.
