Labiaplasty is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures in the field of female genital aesthetics. The goal is to correct sagging, asymmetry, or excess tissue in the labium minora, the inner lips of the vagina. This improves both the aesthetic appearance and relieves physical discomfort.
Due to childbirth, aging, hormonal changes, or genetic factors, the labium minora can lengthen or develop shape irregularities. With labiaplasty, these tissues are reshaped, excess portions are removed, and the external appearance of the vagina takes on a natural form. The result is an aesthetically balanced, symmetrical, and youthful appearance.
The surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia and takes an average of 30–60 minutes. Patients are discharged on the same day. The recovery process is quite comfortable; patients can return to daily life within 5–7 days. The sutures are self-dissolving, so no suture removal is required.
